Today I moved one roll of paper, one folding chair, one fan heater, one packet of nails, one roll of masking tape and one tube of block printing ink into my new studio (pictured). I couldn’t be more excited!
Almost ten and a half years have passed since I left my last studio at Falmouth College of Arts, as it was called then. In the intervening time, I have known the insides of all manner of laboratories, from an infertility clinic to university research labs, right the way through from technician to post-doctoral level. It’s certainly been an unconventional journey for an artist, but now I known exactly what I want to make art about… and finally I have a studio in which to do it.
