With just one week to go until the Brain Art competition deadline, I thought I would write to let you know a bit about the preparations that I have been making for the Bristol Neuroscience Festival. The competition is open to Schools in Bristol. If you haven’t yet entered, you need to speak to your School about doing so now! All of the details can be found on the Brain Art page; here’s a little write-up on the University of Bristol news page and a bit more on Dr David Turk’s academic pages.
I have lined up a fantastic photographer, Iboyla Feher, who is going to photograph all of the fantastic entries so that they can be shown on a big screen at the festival. I’ve also organised the day for judging of the entries, by Dr. Sue Pickering, founder of Creative Bristol, Joel Edwards, who is the Learning and Participation Manager at the Royal West of England Academy, and Chris Dunseath, an RWA artist.
I’ve also been to look at the space for the Brain Art and SciArt exhibition at the Festival. It will be held in the Old Council Chamber, a beautiful on the 1st floor of Wills Memorial Building on Park Street, Bristol. Here are some pictures of the space.
